1. Shu Ping was given this name because I liked it. There is no depth to naming this character. I did, however, name her after a classmate in Junior College (JC) because I remember that the Shu Ping I know in real life was kind to me. I hope she doesn’t mind that I stole her name because it’s a fairly common one.
  2.  Shu Ping’s surname was also chosen randomly, because Huang is a fairly common surname. To be honest, I put her name together because it sounded nice.
  3. She’s about half a head taller than Xin Long, and is the tallest of everyone in the trio (Xin Long, Shu Ping and Four Eyes).
  4. This young lady comes from a single parent family, and she’s a pretty happy girl. Her mum makes an effort to raise her right. At least, I hope so anyway.
  5. Shu Ping’s mother told her stories as a child in a matter-of-fact way, so even if you told her that a god could transform into the sun, she’d think it was possible.
  6. This kick-ass girl’s ambition to become an Wushu master. It helps that she is naturally gifted at it
  7. Shu Ping is a lot better than Xin Long at Wushu because she’s more patient, but this isn’t shown in the book.
  8. She’s also positive, pretty optimistic and always ready to lend a listening ear. This comes naturally to her.
  9. More than anything, Shu Ping wants to know who her Dad is.
  10. She’d feel pretty lost if it weren’t for Xin Long, and likes that Xin Long feels the same way. That’s why they are best friends.
