was a composition about a cat. I was six years old and in Primary One. I had no idea what the story we had read was about — I think it was something about pets, and we had to write 50 words about a pet of ours and what it was like. I remember I had fish as a child and I thought they were boring, so I imagined that I had a pet cat. It went something like this:
“I have a kitty. Her name is Jenny. She is orange with stripes. I love my kitty.”
And then I drew an orange coloured cat in my exercise book.
I don’t think I have that book anymore, since we tossed it out in the move, but it’s nice to remember what I wrote, even if the memory is a bit fuzzy (pun not intended).
