My name is Xin Long and this is a blog entry for an author who is too lazy to come up with one. She’s now yelling at me because she just read over my shoulder, and that wasn’t what I was supposed to type at all. She told me to type something exciting to promote the book I am in, but I cannot do that because of something called spoilers, which is what everyone on the internet hates.
The author says that she wrote a post about how she doesn’t care about spoilers and she told me to redirect it in a link here, so I said okay.
I am only allowed on the internet for an hour a day, and I am not allowed to have Facebook until I am older because Mummy and Daddy says that it is a Distraction that will Interfere With My Grades. But it’s no fair because Shu Ping has Facebook and Shu Ping’s very pretty Mum, Miss Huang, lets her do whatever she wants. But then again, if I had Facebook, I wouldn’t want to add a lot of classmates who are bullies or have called me mean things.
So I guess maybe not having Facebook isn’t bad at all.
Xiao Lan is reading over my shoulder now (I hate it when people do that) and he says I shouldn’t be writing about Facebook or any such internet things but to focus on how good the story is. He can talk even with his mouth full of char shao bao, and he’s asking Ah Ma to buy some siew mai later for dinner. He should have been a pig, not a dragon, because he is so greedy.
Now Xiao Lan is hmphing at this now, because he says that he is appreciative of food. I am rolling my eyes at this statement because I’ve seen him eat all the rou gan, pineapple tarts, and kueh bangkit during Chinese New Year. Xiao Lan also wants me to say that he likes how the illustrator made him look slimmer on the cover, because he’s actually very fat in reality. Now it’s my turn to say something nice about the book.
Dragonhearted is fun, exciting, and really scary. It details my journey of killing a monster and I hope you all like it. Thank you!
My hour on the internet is up so I have to go now, bye!
